PwC Canada is seeking a Life Senior Associate in Risk Modelling Services to contribute to actuarial liabilities valuation, IFRS 17, and risk analysis for clients across sectors. You will work with senior actuaries on advisory and audit activities and participate in projects involving model governance and AI solutions.

You will coach junior staff, collaborate cross-functionally, and develop your leadership as you manage multiple engagements while delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience in an actuarial role in the life insurance industry.
• Actively pursuing the FCIA designation, or recent FCIA.
• Working knowledge of IFRS 17, investments, hedging, stochastic modeling, segregated funds, participating products.
• Prior experience within a consulting or advisory role is an asset.
• Strong technical skills using Moody’s AXIS/Risk Integrity and MS Office suite.
• Experience with data analytic tools (Tableau, Alteryx, VBA) and interest in AI solutions.
• Commitment to excellent client service and relationship-building.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight timelines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to valuing differences and coaching diverse teams.

Responsabilités

• Support a broad range of consulting services and audit support assignments with senior actuaries on actuarial liabilities and valuation work.
• Provide IFRS 17 financial statement audit support as an actuarial specialist, including methodology assessments and data validation.
• Engage in ad-hoc engagements like systems modernization, model governance, AXIS modelling, and AI solution development.
• Collaborate across PwC with Advisory, Deals, Assurance, Tax and Data & Analytics on cross-functional projects.
• Progress towards leading engagements and teams.
• Coach and train junior staff.
