Job summary

Docebo Inc. is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic leader navigating complex global legal landscapes to accelerate Docebo’s growth.

You will partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and Partnerships to lead high-stakes negotiations and safeguard the organization across multiple jurisdictions, especially in data privacy and cloud technology.

Qualifications

• JD/LLB from an accredited law school and active/admitted to practice law in any province.
• 8+ years of dynamic legal experience within a fast-paced technology or SaaS enterprise.
• Extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex SaaS subscriptions, professional services agreements, and privacy terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-stakes negotiations and provide strategic legal guidance aligned with business objectives.
• Draft and negotiate SaaS agreements, MSAs, vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership deals.
• Refine legal workflows, templates, and processes to boost efficiency and reduce risk.
• Perform forensic contract reviews to identify risks and deliver practical solutions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on data privacy, product compliance, disputes, and complex negotiations.
• Drive legal governance for growth, including RFPs, tenders, and M&A due diligence.
• Create and deliver internal training on compliance and global legal best practices.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will serve as a trusted advisor and key strategic leader navigating complex global legal landscapes to directly accelerate Docebo’s growth. The Day-to-Day

• Lead the Charge: Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and Partnerships to deliver high-impact legal guidance aligned with core business objectives.




• Architect the Future: Design, draft, and negotiate complex, high-value SaaS agreements, Master Service Agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership deals.




• Revolutionize Process: Innovate and refine key legal workflows, contract templates, and operational processes to boost efficiency and decrease risk globally.




• Navigate Risk: Conduct forensic contract reviews to uncover potential risks and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions that protect Docebo’s interests.




• Advise & Empower: Act as a strategic counselor to internal stakeholders on data privacy, product compliance, disputes, and complex commercial negotiations.




• Fuel Expansion: Drive the legal framework behind high-stakes strategic growth, leading reviews for RFPs, tender responses, and M&A due diligence activities.




• Champion Knowledge: Create and deliver interactive internal training initiatives to educate teams on compliance, policies, and global legal best practices.

Your Superpowers

• Legal Credentials: Holds a JD/LLB from an accredited law school and is active/admitted to practice law in any province.




• SaaS Expertise: 8+ years of dynamic legal experience, ideally built within a fast-paced technology or SaaS enterprise.




• Deal-Making Genius: Extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex SaaS subscriptions, professional services agreements, and privacy terms under tight deadlines.




• Privacy Sentinel: Deep expertise in global privacy framework regulations (such as GDPR) and their practical application in cloud and AI technology.




• Strategic Problem-Solver: A solution-oriented mindset with advanced negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.




• Tech-Savvy Leader: Proficiency in tools like Salesforce or standard CRM systems and a track record of mentoring junior legal professionals.

• M&A & Tender Experience: Hands-on experience driving legal due diligence for major M&A transactions and large-scale government/enterprise tenders.




• Multilingual Aptitude: Fluency in additional European languages alongside required French proficiency.
