Job summary

Brandt in Surrey is seeking a Leadhand to coordinate and direct the workload of the Service department for maximum efficiency and quality repair work.

You will advise the Shop Foreman and Service Manager on technician skills and training, participate in safety meetings, and may fill in for the Shop Foreman when necessary.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a heavy duty service technician.
• Ability to lead others and supervise teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assigning jobs and work areas to Service Department staff.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and assist in repairs when needed.
• Directs and assists technicians and apprentices in diagnosing machine problems.
• Coordinate and conduct quarterly safety meetings.
• May fill Shop Foreman's role in their absence.
• Other duties as assigned.
