About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Accounting & Financial Reporting, the Senior Lead, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of financial statements, while ensuring that reports, filings, and documentation comply with the company’s regulations, professional standards, and reporting guidelines. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes and reporting in accordance with IFRS, supporting internal and external audits, maintaining a strong internal controls environment, and preparation of financial results for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Senior, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting will also help support the development of short and long-term operational strategies.
To be successful, we are looking for a results- based, driven leader with strong verbal and written communication, presentation, analysis, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. The ability to plan personal workload effectively and delegate and demonstrate unquestionable ethics and integrity are vital in this role.
