Lerners LLP in Toronto is seeking a Law Clerk for the Dispute Resolution Advocacy (Commercial Litigation) practice. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience and a strong background in litigation support.

This hybrid role requires three days in-office in Toronto, with responsibilities spanning file management, document production, and trial preparation. The firm emphasizes client service, state-of-the-art technology, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum eight (8) years as a Law Clerk in a legal environment, preferably litigation
• Experience with restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency litigation is a plus
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsabilités

• Manage client files from intake to closure with firm protocols
• Maintain Bring-Forward system in ACL for deadlines and milestones
• Coordinate with eDiscovery to ensure documents are scanned and coded
• Prepare pleadings, notices, affidavits, and other court materials
• Assist with trial preparation and costs outlines
