Responsibilities & Tasks

1. Collaborate with architects or other professionals in multidisciplinary urban design studies
2. Conduct community and neighbourhood physical planning studies
3. Consult with clients to determine design needs
4. Estimate costs for land development
5. Evaluate tenders for landscape construction projects
6. Oversee the preparation of detailed site drawings
7. Oversee the development of site plans, reports, and land use studies
8. Prepare design plans using sketches, models, photographs, and maps
9. Develop detailed site drawings
10. Draft specifications for landscape construction companies
11. Survey and assess designated sites
12. Develop designs considering landscape features, buildings, climate, and future usage
13. Conduct environmental design studies, including assessments and preservation efforts
14. Recruit and supervise staff
15. Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work

Supervision

Manage a team of 5-10 people

Credentials

• Membership in a provincial landscape architect association
