Job summary

Societe Generale Canada’s Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) seeks a Senior KYC Specialist to join the Client Lifecycle and Digital Group (CLD). You will perform KYC reviews/refreshes, determine required documentation, and conduct due diligences to meet regulatory and SG requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply and challenge risk-based KYC principles, client risk assessment, and products used in wholesale banking and institutional broker dealer businesses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• ACAMS Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML/CFT/BSA and OFAC/SDN regulations, SG policies and procedures.
• Foster strong relationships locally and globally with Compliance, other SG KYC departments, and business lines.
• Apply SG KYC Procedures to assigned accounts and monitor daily progress.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence/Enhanced Due Diligence, including screening, on assigned clients.
• Coordinate document collection from public sources, internal stakeholders, and external clients.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of information and documentation provided by business lines and clients.
• Uphold high-quality standards, productivity, and produce clear KYC memos.
• Review and validate KYC memos for High/Med High clients when applicable.
• Provide timely updates and alerts on any issues noted during KYC onboarding.
• Resolve post-completion aspects of files, such as error remediations.
• Offer guidance and assistance to the team when needed.
