Job summary

Toromont Industries Ltd. is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Joint Security Operations Center in Concord, ON.

You will lead complex incident response activities, drive detection engineering, and mentor team members while advancing Toromont's cybersecurity maturity. You will design, develop, and optimize security detections, coordinate threat hunting, manage vulnerabilities, and provide technical leadership across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and network security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of cybersecurity experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, or Vulnerability Management.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the response to complex cybersecurity incidents, providing expert investigation, containment, recovery, and incident leadership.
• Design, develop, and optimize security detections, correlation rules, and automation capabilities to strengthen threat detection and response.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and leverage threat intelligence to identify emerging risks and enhance security operations.
• Lead enterprise vulnerability management activities, including risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of JSOC processes, playbooks, metrics, and security capabilities while mentoring junior team members.
• Provide technical leadership for security platforms including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, network security, email security, and vulnerability management solutions.
