Job summary

Accenture PLC in Ottawa is seeking a SOC Manager (Secret Cleared) to lead security operations for external clients during the transition and run phases. You will own threat monitoring, incident response, and cyber defence services to defend networks against targeted attacks.

The role requires 10+ years in information/cyber security, Level II Secret clearance, and experience managing SOC operations, with a preference for Elastic Security.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in information/cyber security focusing on security monitoring and analysis.
• Preference for experience with Elastic Security.
• Active Level II Secret clearance for the Canadian federal government.
• At least 3 years’ experience managing security operations (e.g., SOC, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, EDR, Cloud Security, Threat Intelligence).
• Extensive experience working directly with client stakeholders as a single point of contact.
• Strong communication skills, including client management, root cause analysis, and tabletop exercises.
• Experience managing contractual reporting (weekly, monthly, ad hoc).

Responsibilities

• Act as service delivery manager and SME to the SOC team during the run phase of the service.
• Provide subject matter guidance on incident response management and coordinate across client and Accenture teams.
• Manage escalations, daily operations, resources, and incident management.
• Report and review contractual metrics – KPI/SLA.
• Implement and support security for client environments including security technologies.
• Participate in business development activities (RFPs/IQ).
• Champion continuous service improvements and drive automation.
• Contribute to people-related activities including development, coaching, recruiting, and training.
• Note: this role requires in-person work in Ottawa most days and will also be on call.
