Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Java + SQL + Angular Developer based in Canada to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications in a fully remote environment. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from technical design to production support, using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and relational databases to deliver secure, resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with Java/J2EE/Spring MVC/Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• 6+ years of deep architectural experience with Spring Boot.
• 4+ years hands-on Angular frontend development.
• 3+ years with SQL Server or Oracle and performance optimization.
• 4+ years leadership in technology adoption or mentoring.
• Experience with OpenShift and Jenkins deployments.
• Proven CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps: Sonar, JFrog vulnerability scanning.
• Messaging via IBM MQ/ActiveMQ.
• Agile environment experience and code reviews.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Based in Canada and able to work fully remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance across the full SDLC.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Build responsive frontend applications using Angular for performance and usability.
• Design and optimize relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle).
• Contribute to architecture design and integration strategies.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps on platforms such as OpenShift.
• Apply DevSecOps practices with Sonar, JFrog scanning, remediation.
• Work with IBM MQ and ActiveMQ for reliable messaging.
• Perform code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Provide production support and issue resolution.
• Mentor developers and guide adoption of new tech.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with requirements.
• Support continuous improvement for reliability, performance, security.
