Job summary

Egis Group in Toronto is seeking an Electrical Engineer – ITS to design and deliver ITS electrical systems for urban transportation projects. You will contribute across preliminary and detailed design, regulatory compliance, and construction support.

You will collaborate with electrical, civil, and municipal teams, mentor junior engineers, ensure code compliance with Canadian standards, and help develop design templates and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with a Canadian regulator is required.
• 5-10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience with MTO.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and mentorship abilities.
• Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver ITS electrical systems for urban transportation projects.
• Collaborate across preliminary and detailed design, regulatory compliance, and construction support.
• Coordinate with electrical traffic signal, civil, transportation, and municipal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local codes and industry best practices.
• Participate in client and project meetings and contribute to standards development.
