Job summary

Propel Holdings in Toronto, ON is seeking a Senior IT System Administrator to own and maintain secure, reliable infrastructure, cloud services, and endpoint platforms. You will troubleshoot, manage changes, and communicate with stakeholders and vendors.

You will work across Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Defender, and security tooling; mentor junior staff, develop runbooks, and ensure compliance. This role offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT systems administration experience in a Microsoft enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience administering Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender, and CA or related controls.
• Strong documentation, ticket hygiene, change-management discipline, and written communication skills.
• Experience with endpoint management and patching platforms such as Intune, Defender for Endpoint, KACE, Jamf, and macOS management tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex user/device issues across hardware, Windows, macOS, M365, browser, endpoint security, network, and apps.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and improve Azure infrastructure, Entra ID, Azure networking, VMs, storage, and related cloud services.
• Manage Windows Server, AD DS, DNS, GPO, DFS, IIS, VMware, backups, and other core infrastructure services.
• Coordinate with vendors for network, firewall, Wi‑Fi, Azure, Cloudflare and infrastructure work while owning follow‑up.
• Support Cloudflare WARP, Zero Trust, and access policies in coordination with Security and system owners.
• Own day-to-day admin of endpoint platforms (Intune, Defender, KACE, Jamf) and patching, OS deployment and remediation.
• Investigate device issues, maintain runbooks, and ensure endpoint readiness and policy compliance.
• Review security alerts, assist investigations, and document actions in Jira or approved security records.
• Support SSO, enterprise apps, and conditional access; contribute to incident containment and recovery.
