Job summary

Randstad Canada seeks an experienced Specialized IT Consultant - Senior to lead the technical design, development, and integration of secure, scalable microservices-based components. You will build high-performance RESTful APIs, implement event-driven messaging, and orchestrate containerized deployments in cloud environments. Location: Toronto, ON — Fully onsite (5 days/week).

Qualifications

• Extensive REST API design, documentation, testing, and microservices development using Java and Spring Boot.
• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns with Spring Integration to connect cloud microservices with legacy systems.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures and platforms such as Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Hub.
• Hands-on containerized environments and deployment across cloud platforms (Azure, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong web security knowledge including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, and OWASP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and decoupled microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement integration patterns to connect cloud microservices with core legacy and mainframe systems.
• Design and manage event-driven messaging using Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, AMQP, and JMS protocols.
• Enforce robust security practices and authentication governance across services.
• Package, deploy, and orchestrate containerized services across cloud platforms like Azure, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
