Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to plan, execute, and report on operational, compliance, financial, IT, and advisory engagements. The role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and risk management skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

The successful candidate will be hired at Intermediate Auditor or Senior level based on qualifications and experience, with travel up to 10–20% within Canada, the US, and Europe as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of internal audit experience in operational, compliance, risk, or advisory engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Progress toward obtaining a CIA, CPA, CISA, or CRMA certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience performing all phases of the internal audit lifecycle.
• Knowledge of IIA Standards and leading audit practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel within Canada, the United States, and Europe (10–20%) annually.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute audit procedures, documenting processes and preparing audit programs.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls and provide assurance aligned with leading practices.
• Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to enhance audit effectiveness and risk assessments.
• Document clear audit findings and recommendations; maintain audit documentation.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to IA Manager, Director, and management.
• Monitor audit issues and management action plans for timely remediation.
• Conduct benchmarking to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support development of Internal Audit methodologies and annual audit planning.
