Job summary

Dye & Durham Corporation in Toronto seeks a Senior Internal Auditor who will evaluate risk management, internal controls, and governance processes, and drive audits with a data-driven approach.

You will lead ICFR engagements, test financial controls under IFRS/IAS, partner with business leaders, and coordinate with external auditors. Travel to required locations is expected, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or master's degree in accounting is required.
• 7+ years' experience in auditing, with 5+ years testing financial controls.
• Experience completing ICFR engagements with risk assessment and solutions.
• Knowledge of COSO, IFRS, IAS, and ICFR principles; strong governance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor ICFR controls and provide assurance using data analytics to improve testing efficiency.
• Apply risk-based approach to monitor GL accounts and financial statement line items.
• Conduct financial audits to evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and provide recommendations.
• Perform walkthroughs, interviews, control testing, and document findings in audit reports.
• Partner with business leaders to discuss observations, remediation plans, and track corrective actions.
• Support external audits by coordinating with finance partners and reviewing evidence.
• Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement within Internal Audit.
