Job summary

Randstad Canada seeks a finance professional in Mississauga to lead journal entries, monthly/quarterly reporting, and forecasting within a dynamic financial services environment.

You will collaborate with audits, drive process improvements, and provide detailed analysis to support management decisions. The role emphasizes equity, diversity, and accessibility in the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have: CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA), MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in finance within financial services.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Windows-based software and financial analytic systems.
  • Experience with technical accounting tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Strong initiative, client-centric focus, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages.
  • Support external audit processes through documentation and auditor requests.
  • Research and implement changes in reporting requirements and revise journal entries as needed.
  • Contribute proactive, detailed financial analysis to explain results and support forecasting.
  • Partner with business units to improve information flow and support management decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Handle ad hoc requests related to journal entries, forecasts, and planning.
  • Act as a backup for other roles within the department when required.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain up-to-date documentation.
