Job summary

HDR, a leading architecture and design firm, is seeking an Associate Principal, Interiors to join our Vancouver team. You will lead design initiatives, supervise interior design processes from programming to construction administration, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative projects that advance community well-being and resilience.

You will mentor staff, pursue new business opportunities, and help sustain HDR's culture of design excellence, sustainability, and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture from an accredited school.
• Active Interior Design Certificate holder or Registered Architect in the country you reside.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in relevant design firm environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
• Skilled in Revit and Bluebeam.
• Demonstrate skills in team leadership, collaboration, mentoring, motivational/organizational and people skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams through the interior design process from programming to construction administration.
• Collaborate across disciplines, market sectors, and regional offices to deliver projects.
• Present and document design concepts to stakeholders and lead design reviews.
• Mentor talent and promote HDR's collaborative culture.
