About this opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Facility Integrity Programs, the Senior Integrity Technologist will be responsible for executing key portions of the Pressure Integrity Assessment Program (PIAP), including piping circuit development, integrity assessments, inspection planning support, and mitigation identification. The role supports the management of emerging piping integrity threats through technical evaluation and assessment activities, helping ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of CTCHO assets.

What you’ll do
  • Define, select, and identify piping circuits through the application of threat assessments to ensure grouped piping is subject to similar damage mechanisms, inspection histories, and risk profiles.
  • Maintain and implement piping circuit data within the integrity management database. This includes the development of circuit PFDs, P&IDs, and circuit drawings to establish circuit boundaries, as well as interpretation of line lists, line numbers, material specifications, and piping classes for database implementation.
  • Complete comprehensive piping circuit assessment reports by evaluating all available inspection and integrity data.
  • Determine corrosion rates, remaining life, mitigation requirements, reinspection intervals, and potential future threats to asset integrity.
  • Identify, develop, and initiate mitigation recommendations resulting from piping assessments, from minor maintenance activities to major repairs, replacements, or Management of Change (MOC) initiatives.
  • Prepare technical assessments, risk evaluations, and business justifications to support recommended actions and process safety improvements.
  • Collaborate with varying stakeholders across the organization, including Integrity Engineering, Integrity Inspectors, Facility Engineering, Operations and Maintenance.
  • Provide technical recommendations and assessment results to support integrity and business decisions.
  • Support piping integrity activities across CTCHO assets, including circuit development, condition assessment, inspection planning, and mitigation execution support.
  • Supports delivery of approximately $3MM annually in PIAP inspection and assessment activities.
  • Identify integrity threats and mitigation opportunities requiring maintenance, repair, replacement, or MOC activities.
  • Support process safety through quality assessment and timely identification of piping integrity risks.
  • Accountable for the quality and technical accuracy of circuit assessments, corrosion evaluations, remaining life calculations, and reinspection recommendations.
