Job summary

Globalfaces Direct Inc. is seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer to own end-to-end integrations with partners and third-party systems. You will drive architecture, delivery, and reliability in a PCI-compliant environment from requirements to production support.

You will lead charity onboarding, secure deployment to DEV/QA/PROD, and ensure high quality via automated testing and monitoring in Azure cloud. Collaboration with VP of Technology and product leads is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production backend services and system integrations.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying secure APIs.
• Practical experience with CI/CD deployment automation, automated testing, and Git workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent software development experience

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end integration lifecycles (payment processors, CRMs, third-party systems).
• Lead charity onboarding for partner integrations and sign-offs for DEV/QA/PROD.

Job description

Globalfaces Direct powers face-to-face fundraising technology for 40+ charity clients across Canada and the US via payment/CRM integrations, our tablet app (Insight), and Azure/SQL Server data pipelines. We are seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer to own the architecture, delivery, and reliability of secure, PCI-compliant integrations connecting our platform to partners and third-party systems.

In this individual-contributor role, you will manage integrations end-to-end—from partner requirements to deployment and production support. Serving as technical lead for charity onboarding and subject-matter expert for payment and data pipelines, you will work alongside the VP of Technology and product leads in a lean, fast-paced environment.

What You Bring to the Role

By year one, you will own integrations end-to-end, with automated testing for payment/data flows, proactive error alerting, streamlined deployments, and a repeatable charity onboarding checklist. You will also improve codebase quality through clear documentation, ensuring seamless maintainability for the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration Architecture & Delivery: Own end-to-end integration lifecycles (payment processors, CRMs, third-party systems), including requirements gathering, architecture, backend API development (.NET/Node.js), SQL optimization, and reliable error handling.
• Charity Onboarding: Lead technical onboarding for charity partners (APIs, IP safelisting, TokenEx setup, reconciliation files), act as primary technical contact, and secure DEV/QA/PROD go-live sign-offs.
• Security & Compliance: Uphold integration SDLC standards, ensure strict PCI compliance, enforce code review/testing practices, and apply encryption and secrets management best practices.
• Release & Automation: Manage CI/CD release processes, automate deployment steps, maintain version discipline, and operate within our Azure cloud environment.
• Quality & Support: Build automated testing for critical flows, instrument proactive monitoring, provide Level 2 support, participate in on-call rotation, and triage production issues.
• AI & Documentation: Leverage AI tools productively while retaining personal accountability for architecture and code security, and document key decisions for long-term maintainability.

Your Experience and Training

• 5+ years building and shipping production backend services and system integrations.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying secure APIs.
• Practical experience with CI/CD deployment automation, automated testing, and Git workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent software development experience

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills across distributed systems.
• Ability to work independently, structure complex initiatives, and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical decisions clearly.
• Productive use of AI coding tools with high standards for security, quality, and maintainability.

Your Technical Skill

• Data & Storage: SQL Server (data modeling, query optimization, high performance at scale).
• Protocols & Standards: REST, SOAP, OAuth, API gateways, webhooks, SFTP, PCI compliance.
• Nice to Have: TokenEx, payment processors (Stripe, Worldpay), nonprofit CRMs (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce), IaC, containers/Kubernetes, SendGrid.
