Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician for on-site work in Kimberley. You will install, calibrate, and maintain industrial instruments, troubleshoot PLCs/DCS/SCADA, and read detailed drawings to support safe and efficient operations.

Candidates should have 6+ years in instrumentation, strong calibration skills, and a solid grasp of control loops with a commitment to safety in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years in instrumentation and control systems maintenance.
• Proficiency with industrial instruments and calibration equipment.
• Strong understanding of process control loops, feedback systems and PLCs/DCS/SCADA.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instrument documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex control system issues in industrial settings.
• Commitment to safety and best practices in Kimberley area.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on instrumentation and control hardware.
• Interpret P&IDs and instrument loop diagrams.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and operators.
