Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Inspector for municipal infrastructure projects in the Leamington, ON area. The role focuses on road reconstructions, water distribution, and related pipelines, with on-site oversight and collaboration with engineers.

Qualified candidates have 6+ years in water infrastructure inspections and a valid Ontario driver’s license; RCJI certification is preferred. This on-site position emphasizes safety, documentation, and field reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in a field role on water infrastructure projects.
• Valid ON Driving license and access to vehicle.
• Member of Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT); Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji).
• Ability to work unsupervised in a remote location.

Responsibilities

• Liaison on site with contractor, client, other approving authorities, including addressing resident concerns.
• Oversee daily on-site operations.
• Work with Project Engineer/Project Manager to ensure construction meets specifications.
• Prepare and maintain daily logs and other project documentation.
• Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with contractor and client.
• Provide clarification of drawings and direction to contractor with remote support from Project Engineer.
• Monitor quality, performance, specs, and codes via inspection duties.
• Carry out surveys and measurements for quantities.
• Prepare record drawings and participate in reviews and testing.
