Job summary

Bree is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the platform layer—from cloud architecture to deployment pipelines and security posture. You will set standards, own core decisions, and build the systems that everything else relies on in a fast-growing Canadian fintech.

You’ll design and maintain infrastructure for reliability, scale, and cost efficiency, own CI/CD across Netlify and AWS, optimize PostgreSQL, enforce IaC with Pulumi/Terraform/CloudFormation, and lead security

Qualifications

• Production infrastructure ownership experience.
• Serverless architecture with AWS Lambda or equivalent.
• Hands-on IaC with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
• Security fundamentals: IAM, encryption, audit logging, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for production services across Netlify and AWS.
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Enforce IaC best practices with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Own Bree's security posture: IAM, secrets management, encryption, auditing.
• Establish monitoring with Grafana and Datadog for proactive issue detection.
• Drive observability with metrics, logging, tracing for data-driven decisions.
