Job description

We are looking for a solid, experienced Infrastructure Consultant for our Cloud Platform infrastructure team to help transition our customers to our latest generation platform and to evolve the platform for multiple markets and business models.

Responsibilities:

• Use core Site Reliability Engineering principles such as change management, monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews to operate the platform.
• Build infrastructure and drive projects to improve the robustness of production systems.
• Create holistic visibility into SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, dependency graphs, and past performance metrics to ensure scalable operations.
• Develop innovative tools and automation to minimize operational toil, and share best practices.
• Share on-call responsibilities and improve team on-call practices.
• Support and communicate effectively across teams to unblock issues and achieve results.
• Assist in cost engineering to optimize cloud resource usage.

Requirements:

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code practices, preferably using Terraform and/or Crossplane.
• Proficiency with Git source control practices.
• Deep understanding of security fundamentals, VPC fundamentals, routing, security groups, VPC peering, Transit Gateway routing, including cross-region routing.
• Knowledge of VPN, DirectConnect, AWS ALB configuration, DNS management, and network observability tools like Datadog.
• Experience operating in PCI-compliant environments and with AWS PrivateLink is advantageous.
• Knowledge of BGP, Kubernetes manifests, and network meshes such as Cilium is a plus.
