Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is hiring an Indigenous Rights and Consultation Specialist to advance Indigenous knowledge integration in planning and impact assessment. The role is based in Edmonton with flexible hours and a hybrid work arrangement to balance work and life.

Ideal candidates have a degree in social sciences or related fields and 1–3 years of relevant consulting experience, along with strong communication and project management skills. Travel may be required across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of directly relevant experience, preferably in consulting.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection of Indigenous Knowledge, socio-cultural and traditional land and resource use data.
• Perform and coordinate background research, compilation, synthesis and analysis.
• Support baseline programs and effects assessments with respect to Indigenous peoples, including Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and cultural impact assessments.
• Conduct qualitative data analysis and interpretation.
• Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables in line with best practices and appropriate cultural protocols.
• Support Indigenous community consultation and engagement programs and activities.
• Support socio-economic data collection and assessments as required.
• Encourage use of AI-enabled tools to improve design and efficiency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in social sciences, geography, resource management, Indigenous studies, anthropology, archaeology, or related field
