Job description

As the Senior Technical Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting Customer Identity and Access Management Services within RBC and its subsidiaries using Okta and Entra ID (Azure AD). The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and cybersecurity with experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and direct knowledge and experience with the configuration and deployment of large-scale enterprise solutions including infrastructure, application, and vendor support services.

Job Description

What will you do?

  1. Incident Management: Provide joint primary and on-call support, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of incidents.
  2. Risk & Compliance: Manage ongoing server migrations and upcoming software upgrades.
  3. Change Management: Deploy code to supported environments.
  4. Participate in new project initiatives.
  5. Document internal application support procedures to improve service delivery and resiliency.
  6. Interface with vendor support processes and contacts for additional technical support.
  7. Collaborate with development teams to identify defects and opportunities for automation and enhancements.
  8. Participate in architecture and design discussions regarding solutions and enhancements.
  9. Work with engineering, architecture, and infrastructure SMEs to define and elaborate all aspects of the IAM solution architecture.
  10. Build and maintain test and production environments, ensuring patching, currency, testing, hotfixes, service packs, and application integrations are maintained.
  11. Support all implementations for testing and production environments, communicating upcoming changes and identifying post-production testing requirements.
  12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders using various communication techniques.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-haves

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  2. 3-5 years of Technical System Analyst experience with knowledge in installation, configuration, and support of scalable and complex systems, including servers, web servers, databases, and application interfaces.
  3. 3-5 years experience supporting IAM applications like Okta and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  4. Experience troubleshooting system issues in complex environments.
  5. Knowledge of server-side technologies including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading.
  6. Understanding of cybersecurity principles such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  9. Quick learner with the ability to acquire new technologies, skills, and business knowledge.

Nice-to-have

  1. Knowledge of RBC provisioning processes.
  2. Exposure to authentication and authorization applications like Okta or Azure AD.
  3. DevOps experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, and Confluence.
  4. Industry-related certification such as CISSP.
  5. Knowledge of financial services applications and processes.
  6. Familiarity with IT standards, methodologies, and audit requirements.
