About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Hydropower Engineer to join their renewable energy team, based in Kimberley . This position is vital for the design, development, and operational support of hydropower projects. You will bring extensive expertise in hydraulic structures, turbine technology, and power generation systems, contributing to the company's commitment to expanding clean energy resources. This is a key role for an engineer passionate about renewable energy infrastructure and its sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptual and detailed design of hydropower facilities, including dams, waterways, powerhouse structures, and electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site selection, and environmental impact assessments for potential hydropower projects.
  • Specify and select appropriate turbine and generator technology for various site conditions.
  • Oversee the construction, commissioning, and operational aspects of hydropower plants.
