BBA is seeking a Principal Engineer Lead - Hydrology, Hydraulics & Dam Safety to provide technical authority for water management, tailings, and dam safety in mining projects. You will mentor staff, review designs, and engage with clients and regulators to ensure safe, compliant facilities.

This senior role requires a civil engineer with 20+ years in hydrology, hydraulics, and dam safety, supported by a PE license and advanced modelling skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree or PhD in Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Resources, or related field is a strong asset.
• 20+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and dam safety, preferably in mining and tailings projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible for licensure in the United States.
• Demonstrated experience with dam safety evaluations, tailings facilities, and flood risk management.
• Advanced proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modelling tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for hydrology, hydraulics, and dam safety on mining projects.
• Lead and review hydrological and hydroclimatic studies, including climate change impacts.
• Oversee 1D, 2D, and 3D hydraulic simulations for dams and tailings facilities.
• Support dam safety governance, regulatory submissions, and audits.
• Mentor staff and engage with clients and regulatory authorities.
