Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to join our Hydrogeology and Hydrology Team in Western Canada. You will provide senior technical leadership on hydrology projects across mining, energy, infrastructure, and resource development sectors.

You will lead hydrologic investigations, monitoring programs, and water balance assessments, mentor junior staff, support business development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical water resources solutions for our

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in hydrology or water resources.
Professional registration as a P. Geo or eligibility for immediate registration.
Demonstrated experience leading hydrologic investigations, monitoring programs, and hydrologic/hydraulic modelling.
Strong experience with water balance assessments and applied hydrology in natural and developed systems.

Responsibilities

Lead hydrologic investigations, monitoring programs, and water balance assessments.
Provide subject matter expertise on hydrologic processes and client advisory support.
Design and oversee hydrometric and monitoring programs following provincial standards.
Lead hydrologic modelling and water balance studies for project design and decision-making.
Provide senior technical review and QA/QC of hydrology deliverables.
Support EFN assessments and development of flow recommendations for environmental applications.
Mentor junior and intermediate staff and contribute to business development.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify hydrologic constraints and opportunities.
