Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead advanced hydrogeology work across Canada. You will guide conceptual models, dewatering plans, and numerical modelling, while reviewing deliverables and serving as a technical advisor to clients and regulators. A P.Geo./P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related earth‑science discipline.
• Licensed professional (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body in Canada.
• 20+ years of progressively responsible hydrogeology consulting experience.
• Ability to author, review, and defend high‑quality technical deliverables and communicate complex concepts.
• Experience with numerical groundwater modelling and/or geothermal systems is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical specialist/subject matter expert in hydrogeology and related disciplines.
• Lead and critique hydrogeological models, investigation programs, dewatering, and numerical modelling approaches.
• Provide senior technical review and QA of hydrogeology deliverables and interpretations.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to project managers, clients, and regulators.
• Provide input for civil and geotechnical design, permitting, environmental assessments, and water resource decisions.
• Contribute to proposal development, project scoping, and client inquiries from a technical perspective.
• Support technical innovation, service development, and strategic initiatives.
