Job summary

Alquemy Search & Consulting in Toronto seeks a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our IT Operations team. You will manage enterprise infrastructure across data centre and cloud, deploying hybrid cloud solutions and maintaining virtualization, networking, and systems administration.

You will monitor performance, contribute to incident response, disaster recovery, security and governance, and drive continuous improvement through automation and IaC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with enterprise storage and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of identity and access management platforms including Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks, change management, and operational support processes.
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise server, storage, and infrastructure environments.
• Support hybrid cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Deploy and maintain virtual machines, enterprise applications, and core infrastructure services.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance trends and recommend proactive improvements.
• Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents, outages, and performance issues in accordance with SLAs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support problem resolution activities.
• Participate in change management and infrastructure lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure operational excellence.
• Administer enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure infrastructure resiliency, availability, and data protection standards are maintained.
• Support patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and best practices.
• Maintain endpoint protection, access controls, encryption, and identity management standards.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives including migrations, upgrades, and cloud transitions.
• Support automation initiatives using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in infrastructure roadmap and operational improvement discussions.
• Maintain technical documentation including diagrams, inventories, procedures, and SOPs.
• Follow infrastructure standards, governance processes, and operational best practices.
