Job summary

Alteo is seeking a Senior System Administrator for a permanent role based in Montreal, with a hybrid work arrangement (2 days in the office per week). You will implement best practices for IT infrastructure, improve systems, networks, security, DevOps, vendor management, and coaching of the team.

You bring 5–10 years in systems/network administration, strong Microsoft, cloud, and security expertise, and leadership to mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with development teams.

Qualifications

• DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in systems/network administration.
• Solid expertise in Microsoft environments, networking, cloud, and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer, secure, and monitor on-premises and cloud (Azure) network infrastructures.
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and supervision tools.
• Manage access, firewalls, VPNs, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Administer cloud environments hosting web solutions and applications (Azure).
• Participate in design and evolution of cloud solutions.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of platforms.
• Support and advise developers on DevOps best practices with external partner.
