Bulletproof in Fredericton, NB, is seeking a Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect to design, implement, and support secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and on‑premises infrastructure. You will translate business needs into scalable, resilient cloud architectures with strong virtualization, storage, and networking expertise.

The role is customer-facing and includes pre‑sales support, solution presentations, and technical leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS or related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure/cloud design/implementation
• Deep Azure PaaS experience including hosting, databases, integration, and private connectivity
• Strong VMware experience including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clustering, networking, migrations
• Experience with HPE or Dell storage including SAN/NAS, replication, and performance
• Knowledge of Azure networking, Entra ID, Azure Policy, RBAC, Private Link, VPN, ExpressRoute
• Experience delivering customer-facing professional services engagements with defined scope and timelines
• ITIL-based incident and change management knowledge

Responsibilities

• Assess customer infrastructure, apps, virtualization, storage, security, and cloud needs
• Design and implement hybrid solutions using Azure PaaS, VMware, and HPE/Dell storage
• Advise on workload placement: on-prem, Azure migration, PaaS modernization
• Design secure hybrid connectivity, identity, governance, monitoring, backup, DR
• Create migration plans with testing, rollback, and business continuity
• Produce technical designs, SBOMs, runbooks, and implementation plans
• Lead discovery sessions and pre-sales activities, estimates, and recommendations
• Provide senior-level troubleshooting for cloud, virtualization, storage, and performance issues
• Research new technologies and drive best practices
• Mentor and coach junior engineers

Title: Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect

Location: Fredericton, NB or Moncton, NB or Halifax, NS

Hybrid: 4 days onsite

Travel Expectations: Approx. 10%-15%, when necessary to customer offices.

Job Summary

The Hybrid Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. This customer-facing role requires in-depth knowledge of Azure Platform as a Service, VMware, and HPE or Dell enterprise storage, along with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, resilient, and supportable solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess customer infrastructure, application, virtualization, storage, security, and cloud requirements.


• Design and implement hybrid solutions using Microsoft Azure PaaS, VMware, and HPE or Dell storage technologies.


• Advise customers on workload placement, including on-premises retention, Azure migration, PaaS modernization, and phased hybrid approaches.


• Design secure hybrid connectivity, identity, governance, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.


• Develop migration and implementation plans that include testing, validation, rollback, and business continuity requirements.


• Create technical designs, statements of work, bills of materials, implementation plans, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks.


• Lead customer discovery sessions and support pre‑sales activities, solution presentations, effort estimates, and technology recommendations.


• Provide senior‑level troubleshooting and technical guidance for complex cloud, virtualization, storage, performance, and integration issues.


• Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements, standards, and best practices.


• Provide coaching and technical support to junior team members.

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and industry certifications


• Seven or more years of progressive experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions.


• In‑depth experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS, including application hosting, managed databases, integration services, storage, secrets management, monitoring, and private connectivity.


• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, clustering, high availability, virtual networking, lifecycle management, and migrations.


• Strong experience designing or supporting HPE or Dell enterprise storage, including capacity planning, performance analysis, replication, snapshots, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.


• Experience with Azure networking, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, role‑based access control, Private Link, private endpoints, VPN, and ExpressRoute concepts.


• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, backup, disaster recovery, ransomware resilience, and recovery testing.


• Experience delivering customer‑facing professional services engagements with defined scope, timelines, documentation, and acceptance criteria.


• Experience with ITIL‑based incident and change management processes.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-305.


• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-104.


• VMware Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization.


• HPE or Dell enterprise storage certification.


• Terraform, Azure DevOps, or related infrastructure automation certification.
