Bulletproof is seeking a Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect to design and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and on-premises infrastructure for diverse clients. The role demands in-depth Azure PaaS, VMware, and storage expertise, with strong collaboration across customer teams and internal stakeholders.

You will guide architecture, perform pre-sales support, and deliver scalable, resilient solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, CS, or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
• 7+ years designing enterprise infra and cloud solutions.
• Deep Azure PaaS experience including hosting, databases, integration services, storage, monitoring.
• Strong VMware vSphere/vCenter and network knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer infrastructure and cloud requirements.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions using Azure PaaS, VMware, and storage.
• Advise workload placement including Azure migration and on-prem retention.
• Design secure hybrid connectivity, identity, governance, and DR solutions.
• Develop migration plans with testing, rollback, and business continuity.
• Provide coaching to junior team members.

Title: Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect

Location: Moncton, NB or Fredericton, NB or Halifax, NS

Hybrid: 4 days onsite

Travel Expectations: Approx. 10%-15%, when necessary to customer offices.

Job Summary:

The Hybrid Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. This customer-facing role requires in-depth knowledge of Azure Platform as a Service, VMware, and HPE or Dell enterprise storage, along with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, resilient, and supportable solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess customer infrastructure, application, virtualization, storage, security, and cloud requirements.
• Design and implement hybrid solutions using Microsoft Azure PaaS, VMware, and HPE or Dell storage technologies.
• Advise customers on workload placement, including on-premises retention, Azure migration, PaaS modernization, and phased hybrid approaches.
• Design secure hybrid connectivity, identity, governance, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop migration and implementation plans that include testing, validation, rollback, and business continuity requirements.
• Create technical designs, statements of work, bills of materials, implementation plans, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and support pre-sales activities, solution presentations, effort estimates, and technology recommendations.
• Provide senior-level troubleshooting and technical guidance for complex cloud, virtualization, storage, performance, and integration issues.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements, standards, and best practices.
• Provide coaching and technical support to junior team members.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and industry certifications
• Seven or more years of progressive experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS, including application hosting, managed databases, integration services, storage, secrets management, monitoring, and private connectivity.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, clustering, high availability, virtual networking, lifecycle management, and migrations.
• Strong experience designing or supporting HPE or Dell enterprise storage, including capacity planning, performance analysis, replication, snapshots, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
• Experience with Azure networking, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, role-based access control, Private Link, private endpoints, VPN, and ExpressRoute concepts.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, backup, disaster recovery, ransomware resilience, and recovery testing.
• Experience delivering customer-facing professional services engagements with defined scope, timelines, documentation, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with ITIL-based incident and change management processes.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-305.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-104.
• VMware Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization.
• HPE or Dell enterprise storage certification.
• Terraform, Azure DevOps, or related infrastructure automation certification.
