Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead our Healthcare Electrical Engineering team in Ontario. This strategic role focuses on delivering high-impact hospital infrastructure projects across Canada, guiding engineers and designers, and fostering strong client relationships.

You will drive technical excellence, oversee power distribution, lighting, life safety, nurse call, and security systems, and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical building systems design, with at least 10 years in healthcare projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PEO).
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) is an asset.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex healthcare projects.
• Experience with IPD, Alliance, or Progressive DB delivery models is an asset.
• Strong understanding of healthcare facility operations and infrastructure requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex electrical building systems for healthcare facilities.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, life safety, nurse call, communications, and security.
• Guide project management to ensure timely, accurate execution.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers; recruit and onboard new team members.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis in client meetings and bid/proposal activities.
• Collaborate across Canada to share best practices and standardize solutions.
