Canada Life is seeking a Senior Group Insurance Underwriter in Canada. The role involves assessing risk, quoting, negotiating, and renewing assigned cases while interacting with multiple Group departments.
Ideal candidates will have post-secondary education, strong math and analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Reliability security clearance may be required. Base salary ranges from $56,900 to $104,700 CAD annually.

The Senior Group Insurance Underwriter is directly responsible for assessing the risk and making decisions associated with the sale, amendment and renewal of assigned cases. And, at times, provide annual financial reports to clients about their plan.
The underwriter role is suited to the inquisitive individual who enjoys continuous learning and applying their knowledge in varied scenarios. You are a keen problem solver. You like to analyze intricate data and make decisions based on your analysis.
In this role you will be exposed to the entire lifespan of a client and interact with all Group departments.
This will give you extraordinary scope in the group operation and often require you to take ownership over process and policy.
This role requires Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website.
We will provide successful candidates with a potential career path to move four career levels within the department.
The base salary for this position is between $56,900 - $104,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
