The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a creative, innovative and multidisciplinary Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing Team at ApplyBoard. In this fast-paced role, you’ll apply your extensive graphic design experience to a wide variety of ApplyBoard marketing initiatives and visual communications.

What you’ll be doing every day:

1. Conceptualize and create impactful design solutions for traditional and digital mediums, including but not limited to: ApplyBoard branding, product and marketing websites, social media channels, email campaigns, marketing programs, knowledgebase, training platform, presentations, videos, and events.
2. Complete day-to-day graphic requests to support marketing programs including small illustrations, email headers, email body graphics, social media posts, WhatsApp posts, blog headers, handouts/flyers, etc.
3. Ensure the ApplyBoard brand is consistently represented across all designs internally and externally.
4. Utilize strong communication skills to engage with design leaders and cross-functional team members to solicit direction, develop concepts, and produce designs that effectively reflect desired messaging and campaign goals.
5. Prioritize and schedule project work to ensure on-time delivery.
6. Incorporate constructive feedback from stakeholders and design team leaders into final deliverables.
7. Deliver high-quality, well-thought-out designs under tight deadlines.
8. Apply industry best practices and stay on-top-of the latest technology and strategies to keep the ApplyBoard brand looking fresh and forward-facing.
9. Support Design Managers in providing design reviews and direction to Graphic Designers.

What you bring to the table:

1. 5+ years of experience working in a graphic design/advertising industry environment (tech industry experience preferred).
2. A college or university degree/diploma in graphic design, multimedia design, web design, fine arts, or a related field.
3. Proficient in a Mac environment with advanced experience using Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
4. An advanced knowledge of Figma (our primary design workspace) will be essential to your day-to-day design work.
5. Ability to illustrate and adapt the ApplyBoard illustration style and brand is essential.
6. A creative mindset with a strong understanding of design principles and marketing design fundamentals.
7. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
8. Effective time management skills and ability to organize and meet deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail to ensure that project expectations are met and free of any errors.
10. Extensive experience creating graphics for social media that are engaging and tailored toward distinct target audiences.
11. Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work and solve problems independently.
12. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
13. A strong online design portfolio to showcase the breadth of your creative, design and illustration skill set.

Qualifications that will help you to stand out:

1. Ability to demonstrate the breadth of your illustration skill set.
2. UI/Visual design experience (creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups and style guides).
3. Animation and motion graphics capabilities.
