Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior GIS automation engineer in Canada to design and maintain ETL workflows, integrating ArcGIS, PostgreSQL, and CAD/BIM data. You will work with the national GIS team to deploy scalable automations using FME Form and FME Flow.

Qualifications include a university degree and 5+ years of experience, with 3+ years in FME development. French/English bilingualism is an asset for cross‑team collaboration, with a hybrid work model in place.

Qualifications

• University degree required in geomatics, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Min. five years of relevant experience, incl. at least three years hands-on FME development.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and PostgreSQL mandatory, esp. enterprise geodatabases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geospatial data integration, transformation, validation, and synchronization requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and document reusable ETL workflows using FME Form.
• Deploy, schedule, monitor, and maintain automations in FME Flow.
• Automate quality-control checks, anomaly detection, and validation reporting.
• Integrate data among ArcGIS Enterprise, PostgreSQL, CAD/BIM environments, and other systems.
• Develop robust logging, error handling, and recovery mechanisms.
• Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot production automation incidents and apply fixes.
• Establish dev/testing/deployment practices for automated solutions.
