Job summary

Pinchin in Southern Ontario is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and support geotechnical projects from planning through execution, providing technical expertise and client support.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review reports and proposals, and contribute to business growth while upholding safety and quality standards on diverse project sites.

Qualifications

• University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering.
• Professional Engineering designation in Ontario or eligibility to register with PEO.
• Demonstrated geotechnical design and analysis experience for foundations, slope stability, retaining structures and earthworks.
• Working knowledge of Ontario standards, regulations, and guidance related to geotechnical engineering and municipal/transport projects.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, proposals, and client correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from planning through execution with technical leadership.
• Mentor junior staff and support ongoing professional development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage client communications.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and design recommendations.
• Provide practical recommendations during construction and site investigations.
