Job summary

Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead design for power and transportation projects. You will guide complex geotechnical designs, manage risk, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across regions.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of consulting experience, P. Eng with EGBC, and proficiency in GeoStudio/PLAXIS. Hybrid work options and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience
• Professional designation (P.Eng) with EGBC or eligible
• Experience with transportation, hydroelectric, marine, or civil infra projects
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and codes
• Site investigations and reporting experience
• Strong technical writing and mentoring abilities

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through complex geotechnical designs from proposal through construction
• Provide risk management and regulatory navigation for projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation, hydroelectric, marine, and civil infra projects
• Review and prepare technical reports, proposals, and design specs
• Perform geotechnical modeling and analysis using industry-standard tools
• Prepare construction documents and provide construction support
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers
