Job summary
Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. invites a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Power and Transportation Group in Vancouver, BC.
The role seeks a leader with 12+ years in hydro and water control dam design, including dam safety reviews and condition assessments, to guide complex projects across North America and internationally. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee multidisciplinary design efforts, and act as a senior reviewer ensuring engineering excellence and client
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hydrotechnical or civil engineering.
- Registered P.Eng with EGBC; other provinces/US registrations are assets.
- 12+ years of broad-based experience in civil engineering and hydropower.
- Experience with large hydro and pump storage (50–100 MW).
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and client interaction skills.
- Proven record of project and client management; report writing in English.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design efforts from concept through construction support.
- Act as a technical resource within project teams and provide guidance.
- Provide progress reports to clients and senior management on a regular basis.
- Attend site visits and gather information to complement design activities.
- Lead dam safety reviews and inspections where applicable.
- Mentor younger team members and contribute to business development.
