Job summary

WSP Canada in Western Canada is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geohazards Practice in Calgary or Edmonton. You will assess geohazard challenges and deliver safe, sustainable mitigation solutions for critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

10+ years of geohazard assessments and slope stability experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or eligible for registration.
Experience with geotechnical investigations and hazard evaluations.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

Lead geohazard assessments and mitigation designs for landslides and slope instability.
Deliver geotechnical investigations and feasibility studies.
Guide teams through desktop studies, field work, instrumentation, and monitoring.
Develop slope stabilization, retaining structures, erosion protection solutions.
Manage projects through all delivery phases, including budgets and safety.
Prepare technical deliverables: reports, models, drawings, cost estimates, permits.
