Job summary

Schlumberger Limited in Calgary, AB is seeking an experienced Geophysicist to provide geophysical expertise across the sales, planning, execution, and service delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance seismic imaging, processing workflows, and innovative subsurface solutions for customers.

The role emphasizes strong communication, real-time problem solving, and engagement with industry partners to push forward geophysical technologies in energy exploration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant geophysical experience, preferably in energy with seismic processing, imaging and subsurface characterization.
• Experience supporting seismic processing, seismic imaging, velocity model building, land seismic data processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and customer-facing environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide geophysical expertise and technical support throughout the lifecycle of sales, project planning, execution and service delivery.
• Support seismic data processing, imaging, velocity model building and the development of technical workflows and project designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, and technical specialists to deliver innovative, cost-effective geophysical solutions.
• Provide technical support to operations, including real-time problem solving.
• Contribute to the profession through technical papers, presentations, conferences, industry events and professional societies.
