Job summary

ALS Canada Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Geologist to support advanced studies and geometallurgical initiatives.

You will tackle complex challenges at the intersection of geoscience, ore characterization, and processing performance, collaborating with global teams in metallurgy, geochemistry, and mine-site laboratories. You will work with Geoanalytics specialists in geoscience, machine learning, and software development to drive data‑driven insights and high‑quality results for mining

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in mining industry with project management, exploration, consulting, geochemistry, ML, and research.
Masters degree preferred; geoscience credentials in a Canadian jurisdiction are an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist consulting services to exploration/mining clients and integrate geochemical data with spectral datasets using ML.
Collaborate with internal teams across geochemistry, metallurgy, mine production, and processing.
Lead project kick-offs, progress, and close-out meetings; manage budgets and reporting.
Support business development with client communications and technical proposals.
Mentor junior staff and contractors; participate in professional development.
