Job summary

Citco is hiring for a Fund Accountant role in Toronto, Canada. The successful candidate will prepare capital events, execute waterfall calculations, and produce investor reporting for Private Assets Funds.

You will review partnership agreements, perform reconciliations, and support year-end audits while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires 2–3 years in fund accounting, a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance/economics, and strong Excel/Office skills; FIS Investran

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is required.
• 2–3 years of fund accounting experience in Private Equity/Assets funds or related financial institution.
• Experience reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with FIS Investran PE is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare capital events for Private Assets Funds (capital calls and distributions).
• Execute Waterfall calculations.
• Prepare Investor Capital Event Notices and investor reporting.
• Monitor client SLAs and manage timing/quality of deliverables.
• Review funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs, and materials.
• Perform reconciliations of cash, portfolio, and capital; investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with additional Fund Accounting tasks during peak periods.
• Support onboarding of new clients and new fund launches.
• Contribute to fiscal year-end audit process and provide information to auditors.
• Liaise with internal/external parties to meet client needs.
• Implement efficiency initiatives and generate ad hoc reports.
