Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a fund accounting professional in Vancouver to lead NAV production for a private equity client portfolio. You will act as the primary contact for multiple clients, prepare NAV calculations, and record capital, cash, and trading activities with strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Required are 1–2 years of fund accounting or FS audit experience, solid Excel skills, and good organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of fund accounting or FS audit experience required.
• Familiarity with closed ended funds desirable.
• Accounting designation desired but not required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
• Experience with PFS-Paxus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full-cycle NAV production for a private equity client portfolio.
• Manage multiple client relationships as the main point of contact.
• Prepare or review net asset value calculations.
• Record capital activity, including calls and distributions.
• Record cash activity and perform reconciliations.
• Record investment trading activity and price portfolios.
• Accrue fund income and expenses per accounting standards.
• Prepare investor statements and contract notes.
• Coordinate year-end audit and tax requests with clients/auditors.
• Respond to ad-hoc client reporting requests and meet deadlines.
• Escalate issues to the Manager as needed and problem solve independently.
