Job summary

Intact seeks a Senior Functional Analyst to join our Lab team to analyze business requirements, facilitate workshops, and define IT solutions. The role supports solution development and testing, with a focus on backend work and API reviews, in a collaborative, cross-country environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of relevant experience, Scrum proficiency, and strong knowledge of web environments, along with bilingual FR/EN communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Project experience using the Scrum methodology.
• Experience in the insurance industry is an asset.
• Experience with web-based applications.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and DNG.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Atlassian Rovo, and other GPT tools.
• Bilingual French and English; interact with colleagues across the country.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements to define IT solutions.
• Facilitate and participate in workshops to specify IT solutions.
• Conduct impact analyses and effort estimates for IT solutions.
• Support solution development and technical analyses; review APIs as needed.
• Support QA activities and user acceptance testing.
• Assist Product Manager in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Document user stories clearly for developers and QA.
• Communicate impacts on business processes to support change management.
• Create and maintain functional and technical documentation.
