Affirm, Inc. is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Card Experiences) for a remote Canada-based role. You will shape the technical strategy for your team and own end-to-end features across customer web and mobile experiences and backend services.

AI, security, and craftsmanship are central as you scale reliable systems and drive impact with cross-functional partners. You will collaborate across product, design, risk, and operations, focusing on measurable improvements and production

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Proficient in web apps using React Native, React or Vue.
• Extensive track record of building highly available distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale.
• Collaborate across product management, design & analytics for sustainability, risks and trade-offs.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating technical solutions.
• Own operations and availability with monitoring, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review and standards.
