Job summary

Splashdot seeks a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer to lead MS-stack web applications and API work from Western Canada. You’ll work with React or Vue on the front end, handle C#/.NET Core on the back end, and manage SQL Server/T-SQL with Azure DevOps in a fast-paced, remote setting.

Candidates should have 5+ years in C# web development, strong SQL skills, and solid English communication. Flexibility for home-based work within Western Canada is provided along with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with C# web development including .NET Core and ASP.NET legacy applications (3.5 and 4.7).
• 5+ years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL and direct database work (no ORM).
• 5+ years of front-end web skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript; experience with React or Vue and jQuery is a plus.
• Experience developing enterprise-level web apps; familiarity with Azure App Services and DevOps is a plus.
• Understanding of web security best practices, vulnerability assessments and pen tests.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage deadlines independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Senior Full-Stack Web Developer (C#/MS-SQL/Front-end) – Western Canada

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with proven expertise in Microsoft-stack web applications to join our Product Development Team. The position is fast-paced and intense, requiring you to work on a variety of different things every day. You are given a lot of independence right from day one, and the flexibility to design and build the career you want.

This is a full-time remote work position, however you must currently reside in Western Canada and be eligible to work within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams to scope and develop a variety of applications, primarily web apps and APIs.
• Design and implement improvements to Splashdot’s core proprietary platform.

Requirements

• The requirements below are minimums required – please do not apply if you do not possess the experience or skills identified herein:5+ years of professional experience with C# web development, including .NET Core and ASP.NET legacy applications (3.5 and 4.7).
• 5+ years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL. Database skills are crucial for this position, and you must be comfortable working directly with T-SQL without reliance on Entity Framework or other ORMs.
• 5+ years of professional experience with core front-end web skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript. Experience with clientside frameworks such as React or Vue, as well as jQuery, is a plus.
• Proven experience developing enterprise-level web applications. Experience with Microsoft Azure App Services, DevOps, and related technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of web application security best practices, including preparing for and interpreting vulnerability assessments and pen tests.
• Superlative organizational and time-management skills, including independent management of deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
