Senior Full Stack/ UI Developer - Python & Angular

This is a contract position with a global IT services firm working for a leading investment/wealth management services firm.

Client Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, close to TTC and GO service.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - In Office 3-4 days per week.

Contract Duration: 6 months, with possible renewal.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage timelines and deliverables within the team to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Design software solutions by collaborating with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff, and peers to understand requirements.
3. Develop solutions aligned with client’s technology preferences, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and enabling new trading activities.
4. Provide knowledge transfer through demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Focus on UI / Front-end development.
2. Strong Angular experience: Hands-on coding with version 17 and above, understanding of UI/UX best practices, and data binding.
3. Strong Python skills: Hands-on coding, experience with Python Pandas, and ability to handle Python component installations independently.
4. Cloud Technology (preferably AWS): Experience with MWAA (Airflow), RDS, S3, or similar services in other cloud platforms.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI.
2. SQL experience, preferably with SQLAlchemy.
3. Experience with Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence.
4. Capital markets or investment industry experience.
