Job summary

Indiegraf is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in Canada to join our engineering team. You’ll work across our stack to build and maintain tools used by independent publishers, with exposure to Python, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

You will design and ship features end-to-end, write clean, well-tested code, and mentor peers while collaborating with product and design to deliver on ambitious initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience.
• Expertise in TypeScript, one or more frontend frameworks, and at least one other language.
• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Experience with relational databases and API design.
• Ability to learn new languages and frameworks as needed: Python, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Understanding of application security best practices (secure coding, CSP, authentication/authorization, common vulnerabilities like XSS, XSRF, SQL injection).
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a remote, distributed team.
• Confidence in writing unit and integration tests.
• Track record of shipping and owning production systems.
• Ability to own the full development lifecycle of a work product.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the full stack, from database to UI.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineers to scope and deliver work.
• Debug and resolve issues across our systems.
• Drive technical decisions and help shape our architecture.
• Work directly with the CTO on technical strategy.
• Scale and unify our systems and infrastructure to scale to hundreds of independent publishers.
• Review code and mentor other engineers on the team.
